Description
This is an ultra-high-resolution digital image specifically optimised for fast downloading to a laptop or desktop computer. It allows for deep zooming and high-fidelity viewing on these devices, using standard image handling software. It can readily be printed to a fine-art reproduction standard up to at least twice the dimensions of the underlying original physical print (see that listing for size details).
Note that due to the high image resolution, the suitability of this product for opening and viewing on mobile phones and tablets cannot be guaranteed, particularly where the underlying original physical print is of a large size.

Delivery
Within one business day of your purchase, you will receive a link via e-mail, allowing you to securely download the image file to your computer. As your purchase is entirely digital, no physical item will be shipped to you.
Use
By completing this purchase and downloading the data file, you enter into a binding contractual agreement with Compass Antique Maps, granting you a non-transferable licence strictly for personal uses. Engaging in commercial resale, file sharing, web posting, distribution, use on retail products, or unauthorised commercial printing of this file or its likeness constitutes a material breach of this purchase contract, and we reserve all legal remedies under contract law to pursue financial damages for unauthorised data exploitation. For the avoidance of doubt, we make no claim of statutory copyright over the underlying historical, public-domain cartographic artwork. This agreement is a restrictive data-access contract governing the use of our proprietary high-resolution scan file, independently of copyright law.
You are welcome to share the full composition of the image for strictly non-commercial purposes, such as uploading a photo of a printout of the image, sharing a low-resolution web screenshot on a personal blog, or using it in an academic presentation or paper. All such permitted public or digital displays must prominently bear the credit line: “Image courtesy of Compass Antique Maps”.
Distributing or uploading the full-resolution data file remains strictly prohibited under all circumstances.
Professionals
For publishers, institutions, and other professional users, uncompressed or LZW-compressed TIFF files with native colour profiles and full embedded metadata for academic archiving or book layout software are available exclusively upon approval of a licence agreement.
